future

Q. What does the future hold for the Pump House?

At present, the site actually consists of two elements:

The first, roughly square shaped area which has the old water company building, now known as Pump House, on its centre; and the second piece of land which is based upon a natural spring, Dale Springs.

Apart from obvious uses as a source of drinking water for the surrounding area, the fall from Dale Springs down to the Pump House is sufficient to easily generate clean, renewable electricity. This could be used on site, with any remaining going back to the grid via the existing connections.
